As a psychotherapy practice, we are aware that enquiries and bookings may involve information relating to your health and mental well-being. This is considered special category data under GDPR and is handled with the highest level of care and confidentiality.

We process this type of data only with your explicit Consent and in accordance with our professional and ethical obligations as a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and/or the relevant professional body.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

  • Wix.com — our website and booking platform (data may be stored on servers within the EU/EEA)

  • Email service providers — used to send appointment confirmations and newsletters

In very limited circumstances, we may be required to share information to comply with a legal obligation (for example, if required by a court order or to protect someone's safety). Any such disclosure would be made only to the extent necessary and in accordance with our professional code of ethics.

All third-party providers are required to handle your data in accordance with GDPR.

How Long Do We Keep Your Data

  • Enquiry and contact form data: Retained for up to 12 months from the date of contact, unless a therapeutic relationship is established.

  • Client records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years following the end of the therapeutic relationship, in line with professional guidelines and insurance requirements. Records relating to minors are retained until the person reaches the age of 25, or for 7 years after the end of therapy, whichever is longer.

  • Newsletter subscribers: Retained until you unsubscribe.

  • Website analytics data: Retained in anonymised or aggregated form.
